The Duck Derby is an annual fundraiser benefiting the Montclair Ambulance Unit! During Fall Fest, Montclair Ambulance Unit partners with Montclair's Department of Recreation & Cultural Affairs to have spectators watch dozens of
yellow rubber ducks splashdown into the pond at Edgemont Park,
the top three lucky ducks get crowned winner!
Fall Fest kicks off at 12 noon with entertainment for the entire family. The parade to the pond is at 3:15pm with splashdown at 3:30pm.
All Duck Derby proceeds benefit MAU's life-saving mission as an independent emergency medical service. It has been the generous support through events like this that have helped keep this service alive!
Fall Fest begins at 12 noon. Parade to the Pond takes off at 3:15pm. Splashdown to begin the race at 3:30pm.
A numbered tag is put on the bottom of every duck that plans to race! Each number corresponds to someone who has purchased a racing duck. On race day we carry all the ducks to the pond and then dump them in at the start of the race!
The top three ducks take the prize! We will announce the winners immediately following the race. No need to be present, we can email or call you.
Racing duck purchases must be made in the name of an adult, age 18 or older.
